Skydiving may have been started by the military as a means to transport troops and supplies to remote areas quickly, but from that, it developed into a worldwide sport. It is probably the closest any human can come to actually flying without the aid of anything mechanical, and for some people, the need for speed and the ultimate rush can not be fulfilled without jumping.

You will discover all this XTREME experience in Playa del Carmen near Cancun.
SKYDIVE CANCUN will give you a new concept about jumping. But don't think you'll be flying alone. The staff at Skydive Cancún is fully trained and licensed by the United States Parachute Association (USPA). Each of your jumpmasters has years of experience and is dedicated not only to training but also to skydiving demonstration and competition. The staff at Skydive Cancún holds a National Championship Recognition. You will plan on making a tandem or AFP (Advance Freefall Program) jump.

TANDEM

This is one of the most popular skydiving programs. This jump includes a 45 second freefall, and an 8 minute canopy ride while you're actually attached to your jumpmaster. This is a unique way to experience your first skydive.

  • TRAINING: For a Tandem jump is only about 20 minutes.
  • JUMPING: While attached to your jumpmaster, you will exit the plane from 10,000 feet. After a 45 second freefall, you and your instructor will be suspended in a dual harness below an oversized ramp-air canopy.
While under canopy, the instructor will assist you in guiding the canopy to a soft, on-target landing.
Advance Freefall Program (ASP)
After just three tandems, you can continue with the advanced freefall program. One jumpmaster will guide you through the exit, freefall, deployment and landing processes.
  • TRAINING. Takes approximately six hours which includes aircraft procedures, the opening sequence of a parachute, emergency situations, landing techniques, and practical exercises in body positions for exit and freefall.
  • JUMPING. From approximately 10,500 feet, one jumpmaster holds on to you as you perform a series of altitude, body and ground awareness exercises. At 4,500 feet, pull your own ripcord and fly your ramp-air canopy to the ground.
